In 1972, Public Storage founders Wayne Hughes and Ken Volk started something which would change the landscape of how personal belongings are handled. At that time, storage was an uncommon and rare necessity. That being said, both Wayne and Ken could foresee back then what today is a simple yet growing and demanding phenomenon: the need for safe and easily accessible storage. They turned this novel idea into an increasingly innovative multi-billion-dollar industry standard, expanding their first site in Southern California into a 2,200-location empire spread across 38 American States.
Wayne and Ken did not stop there. They took this same concept north of the border and in 1979, Public Storage Canada opened its first location in Brampton, Ontario, and has not stopped since. With over 60 locations nationally and still growing, Public Storage Canada has helped Canadians with their storage needs by getting them the exact space they need, when they need it, and for as long as they need it.
