How It Works

To take advantage of Public Storage Canada’s Referral Program, you must be currently renting a storage unit in good standing at one of our participating Canadian locations. When you are ready to introduce someone to Public Storage, simply complete a “It Pays Being Friends” card or form, and provide it to the person you are referring, so that they can present it when they start their storage rental. Ensure that the card or form is fully completed, so everyone gets their credit!

The referral person named on the “It Pays Being Friend” card or form must be present at the time of rental. Note that it is only valid within the same location where you are renting. Once the referred customer has completed their rental, a $50 credit will be applied to their account, and a $50 credit will be applied to yours. The credit will be applied as a discount to the first full-month rental payment made at standard, undiscounted rental rate.

In order to receive the credit, the renter must be a current tenant in month to which the credit applies. The credit has no cash value and will not be credited in the event of early move-out. Credit money cannot be used for merchandise, fees or any charges other than base rent.
