Congratulations on Your New Baby … and Your New Baby Stuff

Babies Room

When you’re expecting your first child, you get a lot of advice, much of it unsolicited.  One of the things you’ll probably hear (and it’s a fact) is that, while babies may be small, they don’t travel lightly!  Car seats, strollers, booster seats, playpens, co-sleepers, bouncy-saucer-shaped-swing-a-things… If you’re a parent, you know how it works!  And without question, these items all have one thing in common – they’re expensive.

As any parent will also tell you, having these items can make life with baby easier; but as your child grows, within months they can very quickly become obsolete and just get in the way.  Given the amount of time you and your partner may put into researching and purchasing these items – not to mention the money spent – wouldn’t it be nice to know there is a safe dry place to store them until you are expecting the also much-advised Baby #2?  Because let’s face it, a musty garage or crawl space is really not the best place to keep items that you’d want your newborn using.

So, since you’ve done all the product research already, take a good chunk of stress out of having your second baby. Pack those products safely somewhere, and where they’ll also be in tip-top shape when and if you need them – and, all things being equal, the flexibility of self-storage might be just the right option, when it comes to juggling the space and budget you’re going to need for a growing family.

Moreover, when Baby #1 asks you if he can see his Elmo from 3 years ago, you won’t have to feel guilty explaining to him how Craigslist works – because if it’s in a unit at Public Storage, you’ll already have it nicely tucked away and ready to go!
